Ever After

Shopping for a bathing suit is a humiliating experience, even under the best of circumstances.

Shopping for a bathing suit while pregnant is definitely worse.

Shopping for a bathing suit while pregnant with two kids with you in the dressing room, one of them screaming that she wants her binkie that she left in the car parked nearly a day’s hike away, is even worse.

Shopping for a bathing suit while pregnant with two kids with you in the dressing room, one of them screaming for her binkie and the other exclaiming, “No, Vivi!  Don’t hold the curtain open!” as you blindly struggle to extricate yourself from the swim suit top stuck around your head is definitely the WORST!  And it doesn’t help matters that I was in the FIRST dressing room, closest to the front of the store, and there were LOTS of women AND their husbands milling around.

Yeah.  That’s the kind of day I had.

OK I had to laugh. Don’t mean to but I can feel your pain…not pregnant but any women hates to shop for swimming suits! One day we will look back at all this and laugh…won’t we!

Next time you need to go shopping for swimming suits, clothes, or anything like that, drop your kids off at my house! You can’t try to shop for stuff like that with kids! Seriously, call me next time!

Too funny. And it sounds hauntingly similar to an experience I had just days ago… how is that possible? 🙂
It was fun to see Bryan at Girls Camp…sporting pink and fairy glitter!

I was updating my address book and came upon your blog. I loved every bit of it. Congratulations on your pregnancy – I’m sure you look beautiful. For what it’s worth, I was pregnant last summer and bought a two-piece swimsuit from Old Navy (halter top and ruched bikini bottom). The swimsuit was kind to me, so much so that I’m looking for that style again this summer. The best part was that I ordered it on line and got to avoid the dressing room ordeal.

OOHHHHH LORI!!!!!!!!!!! And I thought my experience was bad! Not even close to yours! I echo Melissa, drop the kids off here anytime you need a shopping trip…or hey, any time you want to come over and play you can do that too…course you may want to wait until we are sure Anna is clear of the virus, but it’s really only catching if you aren’t careful… ok yeah, i know i sound desperate… 🙂
Anyway, sending love from a person who loves you even when you are half naked in a changing room with 2 screaming kids. May the next day go better.
