C7 (Dear Jane)

Dear Jane,
C7 is finally done. I did the center part several weeks ago and saved the appliqué for later. For a while, it was looking like “later” would never come, but I’ve completed two blocks in two days, so hopefully I’m on a roll.
This morning, we cleaned up the wood shop a bit in anticipation of my dad’s arrival. He’s coming in 1 1/2 weeks and will stay a month helping us finish bookcases, etc. To say that I am excited would be an understatement. To say that it is a miracle that he’s coming would also be an understatement. To say that he is an answer to prayers would pretty much sum up the situation. I am exhausted, Bryan is super duper busy, and we have a lot to do before our baby arrives in October. That’s one reason why Dear Jane has taken a backseat, but hopefully I can do enough here and there to catch up and stay caught up.
Bryan had to go into work even though it’s a Saturday, and I need to head to the grocery store, so I’ll close now.

I just checked to see if you had done C7! It is gorgeous. I am assumming you paper pieced it? It is my challenge for a rainy Saturday! Have a good one, Helen
