Dear Jane,
I finished B3 at swim team yesterday afternoon.
Taking appliqué with me to work on is a good diversion, especially when Ariana isn’t doing her best. If there’s one thing that I really can’t tolerate, it’s a lazy performance. I really can’t understand why someone would go to the effort to show up to swim practice and then simply not do her best. It really drives me CRAZY. And I usually spout off consequences and threats that are far worse than they should be, but the little monster inside me just takes over.
If Ariana doesn’t do her best today, for example, we will be celebrating Vivi’s birthday on Saturday without her. Wish us luck!

Lori, I am not sure if you get these posts on your blocks…but I was wondering how you did appliqué on this one? Did you do each little square then sew them together? I’m still trying to get a handle on the ins and outs of appliqué. Thanks, Stacy
