9:00 AM — It was a restful night, as restful as a night can be when people are constantly trying to plug some holes and empty others. One of my biggest worries now is that someone gets confused with which is which. I’m a little blue that it’s been so hard to get dad to work with me. He’s got to learn that I need to be in charge so I’ve had mom order the first few seasons of Pinky and the Brain for him to watch. Who’d ever have thought that my dad would be nicknamed Pinky. On another front, eavesdropping on the nurses conversations this morning, it seems like I’ve outlasted them and should be headed upstairs to the nursery this afternoon – I think I’ll even get a suite with a tanning bed. Life is good!

Lori,
only you could still be so creative & humorous while in the hospital!! I know you are a private person but I want you to know how much I admire you as a woman. You are such an example! My mom is a bishop’s wife so I see first hand the sacrifice that preceeds the blessings associated with that role. PLEASE do not hesitate to ask for any help that you may need. I want the opportunity to serve you (& return quite a few favors)! Our thoughts and prayers are with you, BT & little Tad. Seriously though, I can cook, carpool, weed a garden, scrub a bathroom, grocery shop, or just about anything you could need so please take me up on that when you are ready! -

Welcome Baby Tad! I hope behind the humor you are holding up–reading between the lines, these first few days of life haven’t been quite what Baby Tad–or you–may have bargained for. I’m always here to listen when you feel like no one knows how you feel. I’m on my way to getting over Postpartum depression, but I’m happy to share resources if you need. I by no means think you are doomed to the diagnosis–just don’t want you to waste a minute getting help and support if it does hit. I love you, Lori!

These blog entries are cracking me up! Welcome, Baby Tad! We hope he’ll make his big escape out of the NICU soon and get to spend some quality time with mom. Lots of love!
