Dear Jane,

Thank you for including an easy block like C1 in your quilt. I wasn’t planning on doing any more quilting on Friday night, but then Bryan took a call that seemed like it was going to last a while, so I headed in and got started. Not too soon after BT was off the phone, the block was DONE! Simple paper pieced blocks like this are just what I need once in a while to feel like I am really making progress. The cool thing is that a couple of months ago, even this simple block would have taken me a long time–not really because I was struggling with the technique but more because I lacked the confidence to boldly proceed without second guessing myself on every step.
